5:47 pm places to visit

If you want to do some window shopping, London is a great place to go. The West End is a good place for window displays, as good as any gallery.

The Harrod’s displays, when I visited at Christmas, consisted of mannequins in tinselly outfits surrounded by glittery white branches. The exterior looks quite pretty at night too, if you are shopping in the evening.

Picadilly in London is a stylish shopping street with the popular Burlington Arcade, offering cashmere and jewellery for those wealthier shoppers amongst us as well as surreal looking cakes.
