We have just celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary at this property. It was nearly perfect. The one drawback was the noise from the flat on the other side of South St. immediately opposite the main bedroom. It kept us awake on two of our 7 days until 2 am and 4 am respectively. Completely closing the shutters made little difference. I have urged the Trust to investigate whether anything can be done. I share your enthusiasm.
